Guidelines for:
Lyceum Magi Degrees
Iseum Initiate Levels
Priesthood Alchemical Degrees
DCD/NOT Initiations
The following information is from the Fellowship of Isis Manual. All guidelines on this website are recommended directly from Olivia Robertson, who created all of the training programs for the Fellowship of Isis.
Any Fellowship ritual drama may be enacted or meditated upon at any time by our members. However, certain guidelines are followed in order for a Lyceum Magi Degree, Iseum Initiate Level, or DCD & NOT Initiation to be issued. In order to provide cohesion within the Fellowship of Isis, the training administrators within all of the Foundation Center Societies are asked to adopt the following protocol when accepting members' Degrees, Levels and/or Initiations.

To attain a Degree/Level/Initiation:
- 1) Complete a program of study (with an active FOI center), previous to enactment of a Fellowship ritual, either in person or through correspondence courses.
- 2) Divine Awareness (communion with the presence of the God/dess in some form) obtained during, or immediately after, the enactment of the FOI ritual.
- 3) The experience of Divine Awareness is shared with the training administrator, who then accepts and records it.

Degree, Level or Initiations are not registered with the FOI. Records of these are kept by the training center. Although Divine Awareness may be experienced each time it is performed, only one Magi Degree, Initiate Level, or Initiation may be declared per ritual. A member does not attain more than one Degree (or Level/Initiation) for the same rite.
Training administrators are: Hierophants within Lyceums, Adepti within Iseums, Priest/ess Alchemists within Solar Iseums, Archdruid/esses within the DCD, and Grand Knight/Dame Commanders within the NOT. They confer Degrees, Levels & Initiations in the manner that they accept the member's experience of Divine Awareness once received. They are simply guides to this process and do not bestow them directly. This is a direct experience between the member and the God/dess.
The 33rd Degree/Level in the Lyceum and Iseum systems respectively is reserved for spontaneous mystical awakening which may occur at any time. Acceptance and recording of the 33rd degree is not required, and is kept as a private initiation by the member.
The declaration of a Degree, Level or Initiation lies with each member and study for these may involve months or even years. The number of Degrees, Levels, or Initiations acquired does not have any bearing upon a member's status within the Fellowship of Isis. Each member is given equal honor and privileges. These are simply a way for an individual to chart a path for their own personal growth and to keep track of their spiritual progress along the way.
Also, due to the transformative nature of the Fellowship rituals, it is recommended to study only one Liturgy system at a time. For example: the Iseum Initiate Level system separately from the Lyceum Magi Degrees, or the Priesthood Alchemy Degrees, etc. (That is also why a member studies with only one Lyceum at a time, as their sole purpose is to provide Magi Degree training.)
