These great photographs were kindly taken and sent on to me by Angela Lordan one of the group of 9 ladies present (including Olivia) at her 96th Birthday celebration. We met at the Arboretum and garden centre near Carlow which has a lovely restaurant and found ourselves a very comfortable corner where we gathered over lunch and spent the afternoon together and wonderful time together with old and new friends. During the course of this Olivia asked that each one of us might speak of what we are doing at present and hope to continue with during 2013. She said that the Goddess had said that "Everyone must have a voice."
It was a very moving experience to be present and to listen to the inspirational work they are all doing. Afterwards she asked that we put down on paper a little about that to share with the Fellowship. So here goes:
As many of you are aware, Pamela Currey, Olivia's Great Niece, lives in the village of Clonegal with her family, and she drove Olivia and myself to the venue. She is a gifted gardener, and at present is planning on creating a garden to enhance Persephone's Shrine at the Garden Entrance to the Temple. She spent some time during the afternoon selecting some pottery in which to plant ferns and other luxuriant greenery suitable for its shady position.
Cait Branigan, Priestess Hierophant of the Lyceum of the 3 Mothers and Temple of Boand, Balcarrig Hill, Ballycanew, Gorey, Co.Wexford says: "My life's work is to bring balance and to restore those who work me to a remembrance of their own divinity. (Beau Feasa working in Irish indigeneous practice.)
Chris Grace described her wonderful work with teenagers and adults - Celestial C. "I do Meditation, Trance and healing through Circles of Life and Lovve. Also starting up a healing Circle based on my own experiences in life."
Chelo Alfonso: "I am a facilitator and do meditation on the Four Elements. I am also a Tarot Reader, Reiki Healer/Teach and Pranic Healer."
Angel Lordan said: "I do meditation with People with Special Needs, which includes the Goddess Isis." It was so clear from her tender description that she is inspiring a a great love of the Goddess "and her enfolding wings."
Imelda Connolly CMEL: "I do Sand Therapy and dream interpretation. We will have a dream group starting shortly. Anyone interested phone: 085-2166994"
Maureen Sullivan: "I will keep on fighting for justice and equality for all. I feel it is my role in life. I need to give back to the Goddess." And she will! She is an absolute inspiration!
As for myself, I hope to continue to bring forward my personal projects which I have been nursing and working on for a number of years. Art, Music, Poetry, Story, and Messages to Myself a collection of short messages I have received through spiritual guidance which I find act as instant meditations which calm and restore balance in my life. There is talk of an exhibition of our members work at the Castle taking place during the Summer. I hope to contribute to this.
Much love to all,
Minette Quick (Hon. Sec.Circle of Brigid)
