The Nativity of the Goddess Isis
26-28 August 2016
Updated announcement on July 14, 2016:
If you are a member of Fellowship of the Goddess Isis, please do join us on 26-28 August 2016 for THE NATIVITY OF THE GODDESS ISIS: Fellowship of Isis 40th Anniversary Retreat. Including Isis Day on 27 August - open to non-residential members of FOI.
Hosted by Caitlín Matthews of the Lyceum of Domus Sophiae Terrae, with Cáit Branigan, Cressida Pryor, & members of FOI.
This retreat celebrates the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Fellowship of Isis in 1976. As a worldwide association that honours the Goddess in all her forms, with thousands of worldwide members, FOI now comes of age. In Egyptian lore, Isis was born on the fourth intercalary day, equivalent to our 27th August, so we are offering day entry places on the Saturday, so that we may celebrate Isis Day together with our non residential members. Our programme includes a session on the Many Faces of the Goddess by Cáit Branigan, an open discussion on how we serve in community, contributions by Rufus Maychild, and dancing with Antonia Newlands, and a group celebration of Re-Membering Isis, a ritual by Caitlín Matthews, written for this weekend. Our residential retreat includes liturgies and meditations, a Peace-Weaving Ceremony with Cressida Pryor, and a party, as we honour the past and envisage the future under the guidance of the Goddess.
Day entry price for 27th August only, from 9.15-6pm: £67 including teas and 2 course lunch. Please bring a robe for the ritual. Please send your booking to the address below.
Residential rates: Single £240, Shared £205, Non-res £160 - include accommodation and all food. The residential course begins with dinner at 6.30pm on 26th August and concludes on 28th August with lunch at 1pm. Residential guests: Please bring a robe if you have one, a small wrapped gift of little cost for a giveaway, & a notebook.
